Do I need exhaust servo eliminator plug for my Aprilia V4?

The 2017-present Aprilia RSV4 & 2017-present Aprilia Tuono V4 have an exhaust valve integrated into the OEM muffler assembly.  This valve is designed to lower sound levels to meet Euro4/Euro5 standards.  It is normally closed below 5500 RPMs.   The ECU tracks if the exhaust valve is connected properly and will trigger an Urgent Service Alarm if it senses it is disconnected.   The Gabro Racing Team maps for dekat exhausts will automatically disable the exhaust servo valve error at the ECU level.   So if you flash your ECU with UpMap/Gabro you will not need a servo eliminator plug.   But if you are going to run an aftermarket exhaust or disconnect the exhaust valve while running the OEM map you will need to install a HealTech Servo Eliminator plug so you do not get a Urgent Service Alarm.

For riders with a 2021-2024 RSV4 or 2021-2024 Tuono V4 that want to retain the OEM muffler but have the valve open below 5500 RPMs we recommend flashing your ECU with Gabro's map for the OEM exhaust.   It will optimize the fueling and also implement the same smoothness and ride ability improvements found in his dekat maps.   But he also modifies the exhaust valve logic so that the exhaust valve will be closed when the motorcycle is in neutral then it opens as soon as it is placed in gear.   This results in a louder and deeper tone below 5500 RPMs.

For riders with a 2016-prior RSV4 or 2016-prior Tuono V4 the exhaust valve is located in the header assembly, so removal exhaust valve removal is not required when installing an aftermarket exhaust.   Gabro's maps for these years will also disable the exhaust servo valve error at the ECU level.   But if you want to disable your exhaust servo valve while running the OEM map a Healtech servo eliminator plug is still required.
